Loganville (Ga.) Grayson High School has an 11-1 record heading into tonight’s Class 7A state quarterfinal playoff matchup at Colquitt County.
And five-star linebacker Owen Pappoe has been a cornerstone figure on Grayson’s defense that has allowed only 84 total points over the last 11 games (7.6 average per game) since a season-opening loss to IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) in August.
“It’s been a really good season,” Pappoe said during an interview with The Clemson Insider. “I’ve improved a lot from last year.”
Pappoe is arguably the top player in the class of 2019.
Just a sophomore, Pappoe possesses more than 30 scholarship offers, including ones from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.
