4-Star DT Still Sees Clemson as ‘Great’

One of the top defensive tackles in the 2028 class made his first visit to Clemson last weekend.

Four-star Jamarcus Johnson (Toombs County, GA) made the trip in to see the Tigers’ last-minute loss to Duke, getting an initial look at Dabo Swinney’s program.

Having an opportunity to start building a relationship with defensive tackles coach Nick Eason was one of the highlights of the visit, seeing as Johnson attends the same high school that Johnson does currently.

“Seeing the bond that the team had,” Johnson told The Clemson Insider. “And the pregame speaking by coach Nick Eason, because I play for the same high school he played for.
