Clemson Recruiting: Who's Left?

Clemson has already secured another solid recruiting class. There will not be as many fireworks or commitments to wait for on signing day in years past. The Tigers staff is waiting on 3 additional recuits. What can they bring to Clemson and will they wind up in Tigertown.

Andrew Williams, OT/DE, 6'4" 240 lbs-Williams is can should wind up on the defensive side if the ball. He has a good 1st step and is very athletic. He speed helps him get many sacks. Williams will need to add weight and get stronger before he is able to be a high impact player. He does need to work in the fundamentals as he was rarely challenged by opposing teams.

Williams recruitment should come down to Clemson and Auburn. Clemson has gained ground on the other Tigers but have have they done enough. Auburn used Carl Lawson well last year and Williams probably thinks he could be in that same mold. Prediction: Auburn

Cory Thomas, DT/DE, 6'6" 270 lbs-the current Tennessee commit will be a good late steal if Clemson can get him to sign. One of his best strengths is his ability to take on blockers. He doesn't have to shoot the gap to make a play even though he has a good first step. He has good strength and with a little more weight will be a productive defensive tackle. He is underrated.

Thomas' recruitment looks like it will come down to Clemson and Tennessee. He is currently committed to the Vols. The Tigers coaching staff has a very strong connection with his family and that could sway Thomas to the Tigers. Prediction: Clemson.

Richard Yeargin III, DE/OLB, 6'4" 225-Yeargin Has very good all round skills. He is quick off the snap. He's technique is good. He has good speed. What sets him apart is the way he finishes tackles. He doesn't just tackle he punishes opposing players. He has a nastiness that make QBs uncomfortable. At 225, he's is undersized for a defensive end but can grow into his frame. He will be a major contributor for whoever he chooses.

Yeargin recently decommited from Notre Dame but they remain the Tigers biggest competition. Clemson has moved out as the favorite and barring a big surprise will come out with Yeargin signed. Prediction: Clemson.

Alvin Kamara, RB, 5'10" 195-Kamara is looking to transfer from Alabama. Kamara could be the second coming of CJ Spiller if he comes to Clemson. He has good speed but his ability to cut in a dime can make him a special player. He also is a weapon as a receiver out of the backfield. He was the 4th ranked overall running back of the 2013 class. Bama's depth has pushed down the depth chart.

Clemson has emerged as the front runner for Kamara. Florida State and Oklahoma State are considered the biggest challengers for his services. In the end Clemson should have him on the roster. His decision may come in a few weeks. Prediction: Clemson.
