Yankees manager Aaron Boone gets one-game suspension for 'savages in the box' tirade

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone was suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for "inappropriate actions, including contact with the home plate umpire, during the bottom of the second inning of his Club's Thursday afternoon game," according to Major League Baseball. He is expected to serve the suspension on Friday night.

The former Cincinnati Reds fan favorite in his second season as the manager of the Bronx Bombers unloaded on rookie home plate umpire Brennan Miller during the first game of a doubleheader between the Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays.
