Why Joey Votto wore a high school football jersey in his post-game interview

After Friday's 10-3 win over Cleveland, Joey Votto showed up to his post-game press conference in a football jersey.

Specifically, it was a Marist (Georgia) High School football jersey, where teammate Kyle Farmer played quarterback. It had Farmer's No. 16 jersey number.

"This is his high school jersey, same number, same everything," Votto said. "Shout out to Marist High School for sending me this and Kyle Farmer for letting me represent the glory days. He was telling me he could throw a football through those mountains over there when we were in Arizona, so shout out to Kyle Farmer and Marist High School.
