Voting has begun for the MLB All-Star Game, to be played July 12 at San Diego’s Petco Park. A few minutes ago, the league released the current standings in National League voting and Zack Cozart remains fifth in the voting for shortstops.
Cozart is worthy of All-Star recognition. He is among league leaders in batting average, home runs, runs scored, isolated power, slugging percentage and overall offensive numbers like OPS and wRC+. He is also one of the best defensive shortstops based on defensive runs saved, range and Inside Edge fielding.
A case could also be made for Adam Duvall.
