LOUISVILLE – Dilson Herrera, the second base prospect the Cincinnati Reds acquired less than a year ago in the Jay Bruce trade, landed on the minor-league disabled list Thursday with a concussion he suffered the night before. When his seven-day stay is up, he’ll be one of several infield mouths for Triple-A manager Delino DeShields to feed.
On the same day Herrera was placed on the disabled list, the Reds promoted Alex Blandino from Double-A. Blandino struggled at Double-A a year ago, but put up a .259/.374/.462 line there in the first half of this season.
