The Cincinnati Reds made the biggest move of the MLB Trade Deadline, and perhaps most surprising, acquiring starting pitcher Trevor Bauer from the Cleveland Indians in a three-team trade with the San Diego Padres on Tuesday.
The Reds sent right fielder Yasiel Puig and minor league pitcher Scott Moss to the Indians and top prospect Taylor Trammell to the Padres. They have no plans to flip Bauer, giving a big boost to their starting rotation for the next two months.
