The Good
–Billy Hamilton, Joey Votto, and Jose Peraza had two hits each (Votto had a double and Peraza had a triple). Scooter Gennett drove in two runs. Tucker Barnhart had a double and an RBI.
–Blake Wood and Raisel Iglesias each pitched a perfect inning of relief.
The Bad
–Tim Adleman gave up four runs — on three hits and two walks — in the first inning, and the game was effectively over at that point. After the inning, Adleman was force to leave the game with a neck strain; manager Bryan Price said after the game that he didn’t expect Adleman to miss a start.
