CLEVELAND — The underdog role is nothing new to Tim Adleman. The 29-year-old pitcher has dealt with it his entire career. Drafted as a senior out of a college with little baseball tradition, he was cut by his first organization and bounced around the independent leagues before getting a chance with the Reds.
Even though he pitched his way to the big leagues in 2016, a rough spring put him back in the minors to start 2017. And then, like he had before, he found his way back to the big leagues.
