Another week in the books, and almost like clockwork, the Reds as a whole are down again. Their week on paper wasn’t as bad as it felt when watching the games – they took one of two at home against the powerful New York Yankees, and then flew to San Francisco to get a taste of their own medicine. After walloping the Giants less than a week previously, the Redlegs were only able to secure one win in the city by the bay, including a heartbreaking loss in a 17 inning game on Friday night.
