The Reds have wrapped up their worst week of 2017, going 2-5 since we spoke last Tuesday. The club has been up against some pretty big odds, facing off against the defending World Series champion Chicago Cubs, and a respectable, high-powered American League offense in the Baltimore Orioles. Both of those series saw the Reds go 1-2, but both series also had some encouraging signs emerge from within. So much, in fact, that I was slightly surprised to realize the Reds were 2-5 over the past week. They seem to be playing much better than that record, and some key pieces of the offense are heating up.
