'They're our enemy right now': Cincinnati Reds will see a lot of familiar faces vs. Giants

PHOENIX – When the San Francisco Giants completed their three-game sweep over Colorado Rockies on Sunday, Wandy Peralta threw the final pitch to Curt Casali.

Anthony DeSclafani pitched six scoreless innings and earned the win.

It could have been throwback night if the game was at Great American Ball Park. The Giants have six former Reds players on their active roster: Pitchers Johnny Cueto, Kevin Gausman, Matt Wisler, DeSclafani and Peralta, and catcher Casali.

Giants hitting coach Donnie Ecker spent one season as the Reds’ assistant hitting coach. Alex Wood, another former Reds pitcher, is on the 10-day injured list with stiffness in his lower back.
