Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott is having a phenomenal season. The southpaw went to his first All-Star Game this year, and it can be argued by some that he's stolen the title of team ace from Hunter Greene — though Greene's 12-strikeout performance against the Los Angeles Angels earlier this week bodes well for him to keep that moniker.
Nevertheless, Abbott's name is nowhere to be seen in the latest NL Cy Young odds. ESPN's 2025 MLB odds tracker lists Pittsburgh Pirates starter Paul Skenes as the favorite (-450) to take home the trophy — which should come as no surprise — and Philadelphia Phillies hurler Christopher Sanchez (+325) comes in a distant second.
