The state of the Cincinnati Reds outfield: Three regular starters have emerged

Just over two months ago, Tommy Pham was one of the last starting position players on the free agent market. Nick Senzel was focused on proving to the Reds’ coaching staff that he should be an every day player in 2022. Albert Almora Jr. was looking for the right team to sign with as a minor league free agent.

And now, Pham, Senzel and Almora Jr. are the Reds’ three starting outfielders in nearly every game.

Outfielder Jake Fraley will miss at least the next few weeks with a toe injury, and outfielder Tyler Naquin is out with a quad injury.
