The 4th of July and the Cincinnati Reds

Baseball is just down the road and it’s The 4th of July.

Do we dare say things are getting back to normal?

The 4th is my favorite holiday of the year. Part of it is because I’m a Veteran of 32 years in the military. Other reasons are baseball, cooking outside, fireworks, and yes, living in the greatest country on Earth.

The Cincinnati Reds have survived, in no order, a Great Depression, two World Wars, a “police action” (Korea), a debacle (Vietnam), recessions, political scandals, inflation, lines at the gas station, assassinations, terrorist attacks, and far too many wars in Southwest Asia.
