Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Tanner Roark may be a player the Philadelphia Phillies pursue in advance of the July 31 trade deadline, according to reports Friday from MLB Network's Jon Heyman as well as The Athletic's Jim Bowden.
The Reds aren't going to the postseason and they're not going to re-sign Roark so the time to deal is now. Watch the Phillies on this one.
Roark, 6-6 with a 3.95 ERA this season for the Reds, was acquired by Cincinnati during the offseason but isn't signed beyond 2019.
