Spring Training report: 4 observations from the Cincinnati Reds' first live BP sessions

GOODYEAR, Arizona – Wednesday was the second full-squad workout for the Cincinnati Reds and it was one of their busiest days at camp. They conducted live batting practice sessions, baserunning drills, and some defensive situational work with runners on first and third.

The Reds were the last MLB team to begin pitchers and catchers workouts, but they wanted to condense camp a little bit. “It’s great,” manager David Bell said. “I think it’s just right. Guys are ready to go. There’s no wasted time. You have to be on task. That’s how we like it.”

Injury report

Eugenio Suárez remains limited from participating in on-field activities.
