Over roughly the last half of the 2019 season, you could make the case that Anthony DeSclafani was the second best pitcher on a Cincinnati Reds pitching staff that was, and still is, quite stacked. He was the owner of a 3.23 ERA over his final 16 starts (92.0 IP), the 18th best of the 60 MLB pitchers with a qualified amount of IP in that span. That bested Marcus Stroman, Zach Wheeler, Lance Lynn, and Aaron Nola, among many others, and that when Disco is on his game, he’s as good as any pitcher the Reds can boast.
