There is a chance that Sonny Gray has thrown his last pitch of the 2020 season after he was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained back on Sunday.
Gray, however, is hopeful that he will return in the final week of the season. Gray's stint on the IL was retroactive to last Friday, so he is eligible to return on Sept. 21. The Reds play their last game of the season on Sept. 27.
