Situations, not Reds, limiting Raisel Iglesias to one inning

LOS ANGELES – Exactly a month ago, Cincinnati Reds closer Raisel Iglesias pitched his most recent multiple-inning outing. He’s never been asked to record more than three outs since.

That’s not a harbinger of any newfound concerns the Reds have about Iglesias’ shoulder, an apparatus that has forced him to miss time in each of his first two seasons in the majors. The Reds aren’t dictating that Iglesias be so limited after hyping their ability to use him and Michael Lorenzen in longer stints entering the season.

Game situations are.

“I think that’s been more circumstance than anything else,” manager Bryan Price said.
