Scooter Gennett's numbers put him in elite company

Scooter Gennett’s found a way to put himself in the company of some of the game’s immortals.

Gennett’s first-inning grand slam in Friday’s 5-4 loss to the Red Sox was his fourth of the season, making him the second player to ever have a four-slam year on his resume in addition to a four-homer game – and not even Gehrig did it in the same year like Gennett has done in 2017.

“That sounds crazy,” Gennett said afterwards.
