Sadak/Brantley: Andrew Abbott hit wall, would be skipped/shut down if Reds were out of it

Before Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott left Monday's series opener in San Francisco against the Giants during the 4th inning, after throwing 85 pitches and allowing three earned runs on five hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Bally Sports Ohio's John Sadak and Jeff Brantley talked about Abbott during the bottom of the 3rd inning of the broadcast.

"Abbott's a tremendous talent. He's a proud pitcher," Sadak said. "Most pros will not even allow the hint of excuse to be whispered. But you just feel like he's hit a wall."

"I don't think there's any doubt about it," Brantley replied.
