Thanks to a fastball that has been clocked as high as 102 mph, Notre Dame (Calif.) High School star Hunter Greene has become a bit of a national phenomenon, even appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated earlier this spring. On Monday, the Reds made him the No. 2 overall selection in the 2017 Draft.
Greene is ranked by MLBPipeline.com as the No. 1 Draft prospect in the class. His talent is not limited to the mound, however, as he also starred at shortstop for Notre Dame High School, which is the alma mater of All-Star slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
