As the Cincinnati Reds attempt to remake their bullpen heading into the 2026 season, they're hoping Yunior Marté's breakout overseas in Japan was no fluke. The Reds reportedly signed the fireballer to a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training. According to MLB insider Francys Romero, Marté can earn $1.05 million if he breaks camp with the Reds next spring.

After three years in the big leagues, Marté spent last season with the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball. After years of subpar performance in the majors, Marté found a modicum of success in Japan.
