Reds starter Jon Moscot could not hold the lead, as the Nationals responded with their own five-run inning in the fourth. Bryce Harper singled before Daniel Murphy and Wilson Ramos hit back-to-back homers. After a Clint Robinson double, the Reds opted to intentionally walk Danny Espinosa to get to pinch-hitter Stephen Drew, who singled home a run, ending Moscot's day.
Reliever Daniel Wright came in and gave up one more hit to Revere, which scored the last run charged to Moscot.
