Reds top pitching prospect Hunter Greene's season is over after he was placed on Class A Advanced Dayton's disabled list on Friday with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
The club tweeted that Greene will begin rehab in Goodyear, Ariz., immediately and will be evaluated throughout the offseason.
Greene is the Reds' No. 2-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline and was 3-7 with a 4.48 ERA in 18 starts.
