Reds offense maul Tigers behind another strong Romano start, win 9-5

It’s no secret that we absolutely adore Joey Votto around these parts. I mean we gave him his whole damn week, and that doesn’t account for the years of digital ink we’ve spilled praising him, long before it was cool to (if such a time ever really existed).

But good pitching; more specifically, good starting pitching is so damn important to this team. The offense fired on all cylinders tonight and probably could’ve overcome a typical Reds-like starting performance. But, for the second outing in a row, Sal Romano provided much more than what we’re used to and for that, he’s getting the trophy.
