Bryan Price was excited about Homer Bailey’s bullpen at Great American Ball Park on Friday, but with all that Bailey has been through the last three years, Price is reluctant to get too far ahead of himself.
At this point, Bailey is scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Louisville next week and the team will reassess his progress at that point.
“We're going to go start-to-start and the first thing we certainly have to do is get the pitch count up to where we can give him a competitive chance to go out there and throw 100 pitches-plus and to make sure that he feels sharp and that he's rebounding well,” Price said.
