WASHINGTON, D.C. – Brandon Finnegan could be ready to rejoin the Reds’ rotation as early as Monday, manager Bryan Price said on Friday.
Finnegan made his third rehab appearance on Wednesday, throwing 71 pitches in five innings for Triple-A Columbus. He had been on the disabled list since April 16 with a left shoulder injury. The Reds need that spot int he rotation after optioning left-hander Amir Garrett to Triple-A Louisville on Friday to make room for starter Luis Castillo.
