Reds notes: Bailey, Finnegan could return this month

Disabled Reds pitchers Homer Bailey and Brandon Finnegan could rejoin the team by late June, assuming their respective rehab programs stay on course.

"It would be realistic to see both of them by the end of the month here," Reds manager Bryan Price said, before Thursday's Reds-Cardinals afternoon game. "It's not written in stone, but I think by the end of the month we could have both Finnegan and Homer in our rotation."

Right-hander Bailey will start Friday for Double-A Pensacola, with a plan to throw four innings and about 60-65 pitches. Bailey has been throwing at the Reds' complex in Goodyear, Arizona.
