All eyes throughout Reds Country are focused on the MLB trade deadline, and understandably so. There's just 10 days remaining for teams to bolster to their respective rosters through trades, and the Cincinnati Reds have some undeniable holes that must be filled in the coming days.
But Cincinnati was also hoping for some positive news on the injury front. Hunter Greene has been sidelined for several weeks while dealing with a groin injury, but there are signs that the flame-throwing righty will be back on the mound sometime soon.
The news for fellow right-hander Carson Spiers, however, is not as a promising, Spiers was returned from a rehab assignment after experiencing biceps soreness following his most recent start for the Louisville Bats.
