The New York Mets were swept right out of the City of Brotherly Love this week. The Philadelphia Phillies rattled off four straight over their NL East rivals, and with the Cincinnati Reds idle on Thursday, Terry Francona's club pulled to within 1½ games of the final NL Wild Card spot.
While Thursday represented an off-day for the Redlegs, that didn't prevent Cincinnati's front office from adding a couple of reinforcements for the stretch run. The Reds activated both Chase Burns and Graham Ashcraft from the IL, and optioned Lyon Richardson and Yosver Zulueta back to Triple-A Louisville.
