Reds incredible 9th inning comeback deflated by bullpen meltdown

Wade Miley took a no-hitter 5.2 innings into the game, but Fernando Tatis Jr. hit one of the few mistakes that Miley threw all night a long way to give the Padres a 1-0 lead. The Reds offense could not find a way to get anything going against Padres starter, Joe Musgrove. The Reds did not strike out until the 6th inning, but Musgrove had the Reds off-balance most of the night and got some help from his defense.

The Reds trailed 2-1 in the top of the 9th with two outs. The Padres were 32-0 when they had the lead in the 9th inning.
