Reds hang on for 6-5 win after bullpen almost blows another big lead

The bullpen almost did it again, giving up four runs in the 8th inning, but the Cincinnati Reds held on for a 6-5 win to split a 2-game series with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday afternoon.

The Offense

Cincinnati’s offense was rather quiet for the first two innings, but in the third inning they put rookie starter Charlie Barnes feet to the fire, but it didn’t seem like it was going to happen after Shogo Akiyama singled and the next two batters recorded outs.
