Reds' Hamilton, Cozart get days off after 17-inning marathon

SAN FRANCISCO – Billy Hamilton was scheduled to have a day off on Saturday anyway, but after a 17 inning game that lasted into Saturday morning, it was a welcome change.

Hamilton had a sore calf near the end of a 3-2 Reds loss in a game that began Friday night. At one point, Reds manager Bryan Price said, he had been considering using one of his available pitchers – Raisel Iglesias or Austin Brice – in the field if Hamilton couldn’t continue.

Before Saturday’s scheduled game against the Giants, Hamilton said he was feeling OK.
