The Cincinnati Reds fell short of a series sweep, falling 6-2 to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday at Great American Ball Park. Here are the main storylines.
Ian Happ was a terror. Happ was selected No. 9 overall by the Cubs out of the University of Cincinnati back in 2015, and has sprinted to the majors. Starting in center Sunday, he proved to be the bane of Reds pitchers’ existence.
In the second, Happ smacked a two-run homer off Reds right-hander Tim Adleman to straight-away center, giving the Cubs a 2-0 lead.
