"I'm just grateful for the opportunity, and humbled to represent the organization along with Jimmy Herget," Senzel said by phone Wednesday before Pensacola's game at Biloxi. "I know it's going to be a fun experience. I'm excited to meet some of those great players down there and compete in the game.

"It's been a fun and exciting year so far. Adding this to the list makes me very happy."

In 13 games since moving up to Pensacola from Class A Advanced Daytona, Senzel is batting .318/.400/.409 with one home run and nine RBIs. During his current seven-game hitting streak, he's had a pair of two-hit games and one three-hit game -- on Monday when he hit a homer.
