Reds dream trade now at risk after unsettling Eugenio Suárez development

The Cincinnati Reds have become buyers at the MLB trade deadline, but their dream target may be headed for the injured list. Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman was hit-by-pitch during Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Reliever Will Vest came up and in on Suárez with a 96 mph fastball that struck the D-backs infielder on the hand. Suárez exited the game with the training staff.

The timing couldn't be worse for the D-backs who've been shopping Suárez ahead of Thursday's deadline. The two-time All-Star is one of the hottest names available, but a trip to the IL could end any and all pursuit of Arizona's top slugger.
