Cincinnati Reds pitcher Rhett Lowder never even got off the blocks. Once the team arrived in Goodyear, Arizona for spring training in February, Lowder was immediately shutdown due to a lingering elbow injury and didn't appear in a single Cactus League game.
Lowder's injury derailed the Reds' entire starting rotation from the start, and he was left behind in Arizona to heal while the rest of the team flew back to Cincinnati to begin the 2025 season. Lowder was given time to rehab, but as he was ramping up for his return to the major leagues, he suffered another injury.
