Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred was announced Tuesday morning as the choice for grand marshal of the 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.
It certainly could be seen as MLB treating the 150th anniversary of the 1869 Red Stockings with considerable respect. The reception on social media included some saying they'd prefer Marty Brennaman as grand marshal in advance of Brennaman's final season as the Reds' play-by-play broadcaster.
