Reactions: Joey Votto's called third strike by umpire Marty Foster arouses Reds' ire

For the Cincinnati Reds, the challenge of scoring runs in their Wild Card series against the Braves in Atlanta is being compounded - according to many on Twitter - by an inconsistent strike zone by home plate umpire Marty Foster.

The example many pointed to was a called strike three against Reds veteran first baseman Joey Votto - known for his plate discipline and knowledge of the strike zone - to end the top of the third inning.

"I was surprised that (Ian) Anderson got this call on the change-up low and away. I thought it was down.
