Raisel Iglesias blows save, Cincinnati Reds drop series opener to St. Louis Cardinals

Raisel Iglesias was dominant in his last four outings prior to Thursday, striking out eight of the 14 batters he faced.

But that was prior to Thursday.

Kolten Wong hit a walk-off single with one out in the ninth inning and the Cincinnati Reds bullpen is back in the headlines after a 5-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in their four-game series opener at Busch Stadium. It was Iglesias’ first blown save of the season, though Nate Jones was on the mound for Wong's walk-off hit.

It was six up, six down for the Reds bullpen before the ninth inning.
