GOODYEAR, Arizona – Power in the middle of the lineup lifted the Cincinnati Reds to a 9-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday for their first win of the Cactus League season at Goodyear Ballpark.
Phillip Ervin hit a grand slam in the first inning, Mike Moustakas crushed a solo homer in the third inning and Nick Castellanos smacked an RBI double off the left-field wall in the fourth.
"It was good to see them in Reds uniforms," manager David Bell said. "They looked really good. It's the first day out, but the timing looked good.
