Offense, bullpen carries Cincinnati Reds to win against San Francisco Giants

SAN FRANCISCO – Anthony DeSclafani was pulled after the fourth inning Saturday at Oracle Park, the shortest outing by a Reds starting pitcher since April 29.

It didn’t matter. The Reds proved they could create some more offense and the bullpen tossed five scoreless frames in a 5-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants for the club’s third straight win. It’s the first time the Reds have won three games in a row since April 18-20 against the San Diego Padres.

With the score tied in the seventh inning, Eugenio Suárez hit a leadoff double and advanced to third on a passed ball.
