The New York Mets are considering Dusty Baker - who managed the Cincinnati Reds from 2008 to 2013 - as a candidate in their search for a new manager, according to a report Friday night by NYpost.com's Mike Puma.
Some suggested the 70-year-old Baker earlier this week as a candidate to replace Alex Cora as the manager of the Boston Red Sox.
Baker has won 1,863 regular-season games in 22 seasons as a manager and last managed the Washington Nationals in 2016 and 2017. Baker's record as the Nats' manager was 192-132.
