MLB Network analysts were fans of the Cincinnati Reds hiring hitting coach Turner Ward during a recent "Gut Reaction" segment on MLB Now:
Scott Braun: Dan, I like what the Reds are doing here. They're bringing in a couple highly respected coaches like Derek Johnson - pitching coach of the Brewers - Turner Ward - hitting coach of the Dodgers - actually now someone on the Reds is going to have to kiss Turner Ward. (Turner Ward gets kissed by Yasiel Puig.)
Dan Plesac: Yeah, you look at this and you go, OK, um, they're trying something different and unique.
