MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred named 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade grand marshal

Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred will serve as the grand marshal for the 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade, the Cincinnati Reds announced Tuesday morning.

It was reported Monday that the upcoming season-long tribute planned to the 1869 Red Stockings revealed that Manfred would visit Cincinnati for Reds' Opening Day festivities, including the parade on March 28.

The Reds' game against the Pittsburgh Pirates is scheduled to begin at 4:10 p.m. Eastern.

In addition, all Major League Baseball clubs will wear an MLB 150 patch on the right sleeve of their jerseys for the entire season - according to a release from MLB - in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings - the first openly all-salaried professional baseball team.
