GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Lou Piniella is far enough from the scary moment that he can joke about how it affected his golf game.
“For a while there, I thought was I was going to have hit off the red tees,” Piniella said. “I lost a lot of distance.”
Piniella, 74, suffered a mini-stroke in early June. He was back on the job as a senior advisor to baseball operations this week.
