The Joe Nuxhall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game
Michael Lorenzen was the star of the gamethread and also the game. It's rare to see a shaky-wheeled start that ends 7IP, 8H, 2ER, 1BB, 5K but hey, here it was. The rookie had some rickety innings, but also some <10pitch ones. He also chipped in an RBI single. I have no idea if his peripherals are going to start matching his ERA or vice-versa, but he's an interesting case. Especially considering he was a centerfielder two years ago.
Props to Frazier and Bruce for home runs, as well as to Byrd and Suarez for 3-4 days.
